OZANADAILY CENTER FOR REHABILITATION AND WORK ACTIVITIES (OZANA CENTER)

It was founded in 2002. Association “OZANA” is the founder of the Center.

We currently take care of 49 beneficiaries, and the program is implemented by professional workers (6 in direct work) in a suitably arranged and equipped space.

Program for youth
and adults
with intellectual disabilites

The program combines rehabilitation and therapeutic activities with contents of a social character, and the starting point in choosing the content and creating the daily rhythm and dynamics of work, is based on individual specifics of beneficiaries, and is in line with the course of the year, i.e. festivities and holidays.

Rehabilitation and therapeutic activities develop motor skills, creative expression, independence and self – confidence, reduce the negative effects of the symptoms of impairment, and develop social competencies in beneficiaries, and are achieved through:

HANDMADE
WORKSHOP
The workshop includes the following contents: making handmade dolls, tailoring and sewing children's toys, knitting and crocheting, embroidery and weaving, sewing and embroidery of useful and decorative items
MACHINE SEWING
WORKSHOP
In the workshop decorative items and useful items (aprons, bags, tablecloths,…) are sewn. The workshop also includes sewing assortment for children (toys, pillows…)
WOOL PROCESSING AND
SHAPING WORKSHOP
In the workshop, wool goes through combing, dyeing, felting, and in the end it is used to make decorative and useful items. Wool is saved from being thrown into the environment, and our beneficiaries thus develop fine motor skills, patience and interaction with each other.
DRAMA GAMES
AND EXERCISES
The workshop of drama games and exercises includes regular workshops, as well as setting up performances related to the celebrations of festivities and other events.
CERAMICS
WORKSHOP
We do shaping in clay, grinding, baking, painting and glazing.
The workshop includes therapeutic work on making decorative and useful items.
INDEPENDENT LIFE
SKILLS WORKSHOP
The workshop teaches beneficiaries how to take care of themselves (hygiene, health, nutrition, clothing), how to maintain space, how to move around the city independently, cooking...
ART WORKSHOP AND
ART THERAPY WORKSHOP
We paint in various techniques, make greeting cards, invitations and thank you cards for weddings, paint canvas bags, T-shirts and silk, make decorative items, etc. The art therapy workshop uses various techniques, materials and motifs, and through individual and group work develops the potential strength of each person.
DANCE
WORKSHOP
The dance workshop consists of choreography of Irish dance and local folklore, rhythmic games and freestlye dance. Through dance, our beneficiaries practice rhythm and coordination.
SPORTS WORKSHOP -
SWIMMING AND TABLE TENNIS
Na sportskoj radionici radimo svakodnevne vježbe razgibavanja, plivamo te igramo stolni tenis. Također se pripremamo za razna takmičenja – Specijalna olimpijada, Prvenstvo Hrvatske u plivanju za osobe s invaliditetom, regionalno takmičenje u organizaciji PK za ljude sa posebnim potrebama „Natator“.
OZANA
CHOIR
The OZANA Choir was founded in early 2019. The choir covers ethno songs from all over Croatia, and in its work it uses musical game and Orff instruments.
GARDENING WORKSHOP
AND BASICS OF BOTANY
By gardening we learn how to garden, sow, plant (vegetables, medicinal and ornamental plants and flowers), weed, water, take care of the garden, plant protection and at the end of the process we pick fruits and process them.

Sadržaji socijalnog karaktera razvijaju socijalizaciju i integraciju, a obuhvaćaju:

  • Proslave rođendana
  • Obilježavanje svetkovina i tradicijskih događanja
  • Organiziranje izložbi radova nastalih kroz svakodnevne aktivnosti
  • Sudjelovanje u društvenom i kulturnom životu grada
  • Izleti u prirodu
  • Zajedničko ljetovanje i zimovanje
  • Projekti koje provodimo uz redovite rehabilitacijske aktivnosti

Program obuhvaća i suradnju s roditeljima, te pedagoški rad djelatnika koji se provodi kroz:

  • Roditeljske sastanke koji, pored tehničkih informacija, sadrže i predavanja i radionice za roditelje sa stručnim temama i sa stručnim vodstvom
  • Posjeti roditeljskom domu korisnika
  • Redovan tjedni stručni rad i usavršavanje djelatnika
  • Suradnja sa Centrima za socijalnu skrb
  • Suradnja i izmjena iskustava sa srodnim ustanovama u Zagrebu
