We began December with a silk scarf painting workshop, joined by the mothers of our users who, with their diligent and creative hands, together with several of our users, painted as many as 32 silk scarves.
We are grateful for their response and effort, as they enriched the sales selection of our Christmas exhibition in this way.
We were delighted to receive two large packages at our address. Both were sent from the Belišće City Library and Reading Room, where dedicated ladies meet every week and tirelessly knit and crochet. They made and sent us 148 snowflakes, 8 dolls, 6 mobile phone pouches, 5 blankets, and 138 mittens. It was a true joy simply to open the packages and admire the handiwork. The crocheted snowflakes continued their journey and decorated the knitted Christmas tree which, for the fourth year in a row, adorns the courtyard of the Vrapče Psychiatric Clinic. Heartfelt thanks to all participants!
This year, the Fijaker Association organized and celebrated the 15th Salon of Miniature Photography. The ceremony was held at the premises of the Slovenian Home Zagreb. Our users Ilijana, Davorka, Stella, and Vladimir participated in the accompanying program at the invitation of the hosts by reciting Gifts of the Heart, written by our former director Vjera Lukavečki.
GIFTS OF THE HEART is also the title of this year’s Christmas exhibition. The opening took place on December 8, 2025, at 6:00 PM, at Ulica grada Vukovara 235, and the exhibition lasted for an entire week. We are very satisfied with the exhibited works, the public response to this important event, and the overall atmosphere both leading up to and during the exhibition. We thank all representatives of state and city institutions who honored our exhibition with their presence.
During the exhibition week, we also organized an evening of appreciation for all donors, accompanied by a special program prepared by our users. We thank all donors for responding to the invitation and allowing us to express our gratitude—in the OZANA way—for their time, effort, financial support, and all other forms of help and encouragement. The OZANA Choir and our dance group delighted all visitors and even brought tears to the eyes of some.
Making bookmarks with friends from Rapska Primary School is always a welcome adventure. This was another workshop within the project “Šlamprla Reads a Book and Works with Clay”, funded by the City of Zagreb Budget. This time, we were joined at the library by second-grade students from Rapska Primary School. New bookmarks and dividers were created.
Alongside all the preparations for this year’s exhibition—which required great engagement from both users and mentors—we also managed to carry out our daily and regular activities. These included choir practice, dance, weaving, sewing, crocheting and knitting, felting, clay shaping, birthday celebrations, and tidying up the premises.
After working diligently throughout the year, we felt we deserved a pre-Christmas week filled with a warm family spirit and joy, so we planted wheat, sang Christmas carols, made Christmas cookies, and decorated the Christmas tree.
We also had a pre-Christmas gathering at our Štrikeraj Café. It was lively, warm, friendly, and cheerful. We celebrated several birthdays and enjoyed a very special atmosphere.
We briefly relocated our small Christmas exhibition to the premises of T-Com, where we delighted employees with OZANA’s handmade products.
Thank you to T-Com for their hospitality once again, and to the organizers and employees who supported us by purchasing our seasonal products.
At the very end of the year, we organized a reception and gathering with parents/guardians and users, had a great time, and wished each other a joyful and healthy entry into 2026. It was truly cheerful and fun.
We also successfully held all regular meetings of the governing bodies. The month of December and the year 2025 concluded with the OZANA Association Assembly.
